Anyone else notice the most of remaining roles are lower PSGs? I pointed this out to a retiring member of my LT, and he confirmed they’re trying to reduce PSGs 23 and above. Meanwhile, it’s causing hunger games as loads of people are posting down a PSG just to survive. Doesn’t bode well for near or long term prospects.

@cr four exceeds! Well done! Even though we now only have two categories to be ranked in this year, I’m gonna aim for FIVE exceeds just to one up you big dog. Four exceeds… LOLZ… you fool nobody
That means you were born in 1999
@e6 I've met lots of people a chevron that think they're all that and a bag of potato chips. I promise you, lower PSG levels definitely can perform your job as good as you. People here have over-inflated egos and have never had to compete with people outside of Chevron so they think they measure up the same or better. And it's simply not true.

A lower PSG can perform my job for lower pay, but they will never perform my job as well as I can.... :)

The new outside IT leaders are clueless! IT's going to take years just to get back to where Chevron is today.
Another college grad will take your place and do a better job for less pay.
Lower PSGs means lower pay means longer and longer time in grade means career stall by about age 40. Deliberate action, hope you quit and another recent college grad will take your place.
The max value of your PSG range just became the max for the PSG below you. The low values did not change. Mid values obviously are adjusted based on your new max. This is to retain talent in PSG longer, can still give pay raises without making out too fast, but keeps you from getting the higher CIP. It's really a wash. Last year. Got 4 exceeds, maxed my bonus and got 7% pay raise. Bonus wasn't much more than if I got 2 exceeds, but the raises are what matters more long term. Rather have the window be larger instead of being held back in PSG and maxed out where I only get 2% structure.
seems like IT is trying to lower down the PSG for at least 1 grade. ie, 25->24, 24->23, etc.and almost all 19-20 jobs are going to indian.
PSG deflation except for ole Leslie’s cronies. Imagine PSG 29 directors for useless IT leaders from the outside.
Yes the drop in PSG is deliberate. Lower cost offshore resources have lower PSG. That’s a clue to the future
Anyone thinking posting down will help them is getting it backwards
Sounds like an she discrimination lawsuit.
Is anyone here who took the AEOI and is having issues with HR? Someone allegedly called the hotline, stating I have been falsely receiving the Permian DLP benefit because this person claims I have not lived in Midland since 2022. Unfortunately, I have lived here over 6 years. I find the timing of their investigation concerning since my last working day has now been identified as June. I just wanted to know if this is happening to others. Or if someone in my department has a personal vendetta against me with keyboard warrior courage to lie to HR. Help!
Surely with the headcount reductions they must be lowering the PSGs of managers & ELT & MW, right? I mean, they oversee a heck of a lot fewer employees, so they cannot POSSIBLY justify THEIR inflated PSGs, right? RIGHT??!!
cutting the fat in the middle mgt layer while reducing or freezing salaries ceilings
effectively reducing the cost item on the income statement
increasing dividends for shareholders FTW!
higher cvx share price!!! woohoo!! to the moooooon!
I noticed the other day that in my specialty, the jobs that bridge between lower and higher PSG’s are being sent to India. Meaning, there are no longer career ladder jobs that help move you up the ladder. I’m pretty much stuck after a few years. At some point, Chevron will be a nice addition to my resume’.
I love it …. :)
“All that’s left in the US is the useless senior leaders”
Did they cut even a single 26-28?
They’re also cutting a lot of 19-21s.
