Ozempic reduced the workforce by 45%
- 76% in my group.
I love all the random #s with no context on this thread. Super informative.
50% in my department
None so far. Heard we're getting a few new people.
ABU SCM probably add 20%
DMC - 20% + 5% transitional roles
If Hess merger goes through there will be a another round of cuts next year. Pray that it does not go thru. Projects Org is massively overstaffed with Kazkh/Gulf of America projects finishing up and no new projects in the pipeline. As projects finish, then people will be laid off (if there are no new projects to go to).
Manufacturing. 30%
RBU - 30-40%
My direct team is getting reduced by 50%. The other groups aligned with my team are getting reduced by ~20%.
But, but, but I was told that Chevron would only be laying off 15-20% of people.
Right….
Another benefit to our WEF masters is we boost our diversity by moving jobs offshore.
100% for US team. Work is being shipped outside of US
70% FE
From 8 down to 1 on our US team
Sounds like a Twitter style cut to me
70% reduction on my team
65%
For my particular job title, 75%. I can't say I blame them as I've strongly believed from the beginning that it was a useless role and I couldn't believe my role wasn't apart of another role just like it is in smaller companies. 1 of my coworkers tried to claim that since no one wanted to do our job that it was the safest job to have. She spent her entire time in this role complaining about how much "work" we've had to do and pretending to be helpful when seen by supervisors but actively pushing work off onto others to do even less behind the scenes. Honestly, good job by whoever realized this role could basically be completely cut.
For my function in my current BU, the cuts are about 25-30%.
75% reservoir engineer
San Ramon Software Eng here. 70-80% sounds about right. It’s tragic
est. 15-20% for Sing office
