Hey everyone, I don’t know if this is the right place for this, but something seriously strange is happening at our company. Our CEO, MW—who honestly couldn’t lead a paper boat across a puddle—recently brought in a new CIO named LC. Ever since LC showed up, it's been a downward spiral: mass layoffs, entire teams wiped clean, and an eerie wave of new hires who don’t seem to do anything except smile at the chaos. MW doesn’t ask questions—he just lets his sidekick MN handle the details while LC runs wild. But here’s the thing: I’ve started hearing rumors that LC is working for one of our biggest competitors, planted inside to sabotage us from the core. The layoffs? Just phase one. Now he’s filling the company with operatives, slowly pulling it apart from the inside. I know this sounds like the plot of a corporate espionage thriller, but... what if it’s not? Has anyone else seen something like this happen before?

@Nx tell me you’re a millennial who doesn’t understand technology without telling me you’re a millennial who doesn’t understand technology
Boomers created you and the technology you use, genius
@cx tell me you’re a boomer who doesn’t understand technology without telling me you’re a boomer who doesn’t understand technology
@cx tell us what function you’re in.
So everyone’s just going to pretend to ignore this
"Nobody cares about IT until the network is down, emails stop working, Teams crashes, SharePoint doesn’t work, payroll doesn’t get processed on time, manifests don’t get printed, on and on."
Great. We can keep the couple dozen blue badges required to support that. This still leaves 99% of the IT org for the chopping block.
Op, you're an id--t and need help. What's happening is pure greed driven and happens all the time. You don't need a conspiracy theory to explain it.
Not to add fuel to the fire , but im fairly certain some of these smiling new hires are robots
Don’t worry we will still have plenty of Scrum Masters.
When you have such incompetent leadership at the top who needs outsider to inflirtrate and sabotage the company, with these leaders you are leading the company straight to the ground, no extra effort is needed!
XOM?

You don’t have to care about it, but you’re stupid not to.
“Literally no one cares about IT.”
Speak for yourself. Everything we do is information, some of it more critical than others. Without decent IT operations we can find, refine, or move our products.
