It got so bad that it finally pushed me to leave the corporate world and all the toxicity and start my own business. My goal is building something that actually values employees. I'm so tired of watching good people get chewed up by corporate machines. I might fail spectacularly, but at least I'll sleep at night.

No, you won't sleep. For months. And don't let that scare you off. You have no idea how much you will learn about yourself. Here are a few suggestions:
- Have at least one other person, if only part time, but dedicated. Because when you get down, you need someone to be up, and when they get down, you need to be up. Or it will fail early, because once you stop, it's easy to stay that way.
- Tell as many people as you can about what you're doing. No one is going to steal your idea, you'll improve your sales pitch, and you'll get ideas.
- You can run it at a loss for 3 years before the IRS will ask questions.
- This won't be cheap.
I could go on and on, but that will get you started on the right path.
Yes, so glad I made the leap and didn’t settle for another role within. Onward was the absolute best for me. Overall health improved too!
Amen! Congratulations. Corporations care less.
keep your 9-5 collecting ur paychecks in exchange for imaginary stability & at most sub par benefits to just retire and hate your life. just like the Evernorth coworkers I had.. bitter.
Not sure why this reply is getting down voted. Starting a new business is absolutely likely to lead to many sleepless nights.
@OP are you hiring?
You won’t sleep at night for the foreseeable future.
