Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Severance

US package seems to be the normal one, last day 6/5, but on the books til 7/28. Then 2 weeks pay per year of service as severance

Does this mean there's no base severance? Basically, if I'm laid off today and I've been here for les then a year, I get nothing?

** Check your Retirement vesting status - during RIF **
FYI....If your employed by one of the Acquistion companies. I missed retirement vesting monies by 10 days. Not much, but highly needed at the time.

For severance, you get minimum 2 weeks pays, maximum 52 weeks. So if you've been there less than 2 years, you get 2 weeks pay after your 60 days are up.

@OP I wonder if the congressional hearings have anything to do with this

I assume you'd get the 60 days, so that may be considered the base?

There has never ever been a "base severance"
