Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Boxes

Hi. Anyone else from the 4/23 layoff group did not receive their boxes yet? Also, what are we supposed to do with our routers?

Just sit on the stuff. Disconnect the router and the local internet provider will eventually come knocking since their equipment. Service should already be terminated at the head end of the internet provider. Or most likely they dont even want it just more hassle than it is worth. United only wants computer to dispose of since most likely a hunk of junk anyway. Just throw it in the corner they most likely laid off the people tracking that stuff.

Can you just put the routers in with the other equipment

@pa That's probably because they are going to call you back into work. And if you say "no thank you", they tell you then you're severance is no longer offered.. They are calling it "eliminated job, no longer eliminated, so take it or leave it"... Not fair!!!!!

Correct. Routers belong to the internet service provider and you will have to return it directly to said provider. Ex. mine was with Spectrum so I just took it to local branch store.

The routers are owned by your local service provider. Once UHG notifies the provider that they will no longer paying for the service, the provider will reach out to you to let you know how to return it.

...I brought mine to a local Customer service center, and handed it to them with a big smile on my face.

I have not received boxes yet and I heard the routers we could take to UPS but I was waiting for some word as how will they know it's mine being returned.
Perhaps a serial# on it identifies that it's mine but I will just wait til I hear word.
