After a very short meeting this morning they were told to be expecting a call from their managers today regarding layoffs. Multiple departments.

@OP I have a friend that was laid off yesterday. IDK what Albertson’s is doing, but it’s not cool. I wonder if the India office has anything to do with the fact the CEO is Indian. 🤔
Accounting, almost all of us. I knew it when Albertsons Bengaluru India operations opening announcement on 5/16 from LinkedIn feed. Although does not affect stores, be worried because your sensitive information will fully be in Manila or India.
@a9 We need to get this out in the public eye. Not taking care of American workers! All they care about is shareholders? Give salaries to people in Manila, how are we supposed to live? Great way to protect America. Boycott Albertsons/Safeway!

@a9 what other departments? Mailroom already outsourced, customer service and employee service center, real estate, IT, ......what's left?
@OP Variety of departments, all that are being laid off those jobs are now being taken by people in Manila. Albertsons is farming out American jobs!!!
