@c5 someone should share this article next time a manger say oh Belk is in great shape....
I think it’s funny how belk is still gaslighting the employees. And some id--tic managers still think belk is doing fine. What a mess.
I wonder how corporate feels about this information being out there.....
@b2 they use 3rd party data. Very few companies, even public, publish foot traffic numbers.
Outlet margins are much lower than mainline stores, so even if traffic is up, their profit is not
There are 100s of 1000s of aged goods, some 2+yrs old that they will not MOS because the company cant afford it, so they sit in stores
Will be surprised if they don't close quite a few loc this yr
I work close to the first outlet in Greeneville and when we have some of their workers in my store shopping they say they are doing very well. Like better now from when it was a regular store. Also not sure how this article got this info from Belk as they are private and don’t even publish sales public anymore.
I wonder if they included Belk outlets in that report. Does anyone know how the outlets are doing? I have no clue. Our store is a feeder store for them but no one ever talks about the outlets and if they are selling the (ugly cheap) merchandise we send.
I mean the only reason macys probably seen an increase in traffic is because they are closing sooooo many stores so people are going for the closing sale. Lmaoooo
I would apply quickly before more stores close. A sure thiɲg!
