@1dqz+1jwZ7JkC is correct. I'm in the fab and I know quite a few people in several areas that will gladly raise their hands to leave. One coworker said last night that he's thinking of putting in a CPM application if he's not picked. There's been quite a few techs and engineers that already left for TSMC, and another tech is just waiting for their offer to come in from them, also.

They will not let factory people go. If they do it would be a big mistake. Anyone in or supporting the fabs has the most important job. It’s also where they have the most issues retaining talent.

I think this is also the place where many people would actually like to raise their hands to get paid for a year and take off.

Just my opinion.
