Tell me I'm laid off! Tell me I'm staying! Tell me anything but just tell me! I'm so tired of being stuck in limbo. I'm not even worried anymore about losing my job. I just want to know what's going on so that I can take appropriate steps. This wait is excruciating.

This is true. I have a couple of new capital saving projects in limbo, which I am not going to start until the end of next week. You keep me in limbo, and I will return the favor.
When I was there, I had about 5 personal items in my cube. My exercise shoes, light jacket, hat, coffee mug and my snacks.
So when I was told your time is up, I came in, returned my laptop and bang, I was out in 2 minutes.
Btw, I was with stx for a looong time. Just the constant layoffs forced me to be minimal and ready.
Harvest is corporate speak for is happening on Monday..
What is sad is that I cleaned out my cube of all personal items 3 years ago in expectation of being RIF'ed and it's stayed like that ever since. As barren and dead as Seagate's soul.

For some teams, I’m hearing it will happen on Tuesday Nov 8th.
Be prepared. Pack up my own stuff, coffee cup / water bottle / toys / memories. Save time when colleagues see me off. And welcome another day. That’s my plan. I guess my department will suffer more damage than the average rate.
This is dragging out. Just rip off the Band-Aid and get it over with. So many rumors. The only consistent one is that Monday is layoff day.

The worst part of the wait is, you are expected to carry on like nothing imminent is about to happen and keep being productive for a company that might axe you any minute. Go figure!
