As of June 3, 2025 close to 100 US employees with Saia's Customer Service department will no longer be employed. The company stated back in April this was due to a customer need to reach a local terminal. Yes the Saia terminals will be handling calls and emails from customer along with other departments. In place of the US jobs cut, SAIA is outsourcing these positions to India, South America, and the Philippines.
