Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Gone from Chevron for a decade

Makes me very sad to see the employees now being treated very badly in the selection process.

People I worked with were good-natured, mostly competent, hard working and could meet the schedule. I think the people who posted here saying it was the employees fault should be ashamed.

SAD! These GREAT workers - loyal, HARD-WORKING, and always on schedule are being treated VERY UNFAIRLY. MANAGEMENT needs to step up and RESPECT that dedication. The TERRIBLE people BLAMING the employees? DISGRACEFUL! They should be ASHAMED!

The layoffs stem from mismanagement at the top. The company's culture has fostered an environment that is too lenient—lacking accountability, operating at a slow pace, and allowing underperforming employees and contractors to remain in their roles for years. Most importantly, decisions driven by greed—prioritizing cost-cutting by upper management and stakeholders—have also played a major role in this outcome.
