If you are an Admin whether as a coordinator or a Reimbursement specialist your days are numbered. If you are showing other folks how to do your work because they want to “automate” processes it’s because they want to RIF and offshore admin as much as possible. This is a horrible idea as allot of what admin does is very specialized and doesn’t follow SOP’s or workflows that offshore would understand and all the automation for processes we hand review so errors and or claims are audited correctly is going to be a dumpster fire in 6 months when providers are raging at the number of recoveries that are incorrect..these teams will have Account management barried up their tails. These Coc initiatives are out of control and the Staff VP in CCA is making wrong driving choices for the Org not understanding the processes or the risks associated with the decisions they are making. We are struggling as it is. Then the new platform is awful and works terribly. One size does not fit most.

This probably means people in clerk positions as well right?
Should be a warning for everyone…Elevance is on its way out. The Blues are beyond frustrated with this place. This isn’t the Anthem from 20 years ago. If I was younger I would absolutely change careers. I would never recommend this company or really working for most health plans…the time God gives us is too precious to spend in this place.
This post is facts Admins better run!!! Its crazy how these crucial roles are being eliminated. I know several have already been rifd and there's definitely more to come.
PI is a wreck…get out before the sh-t hits the fan from providers not receiving letters, medical records not being attached properly causing massive delays, the new platform and its billion issues, and incorrect recovery refunds requested from audits being performed inaccurately from automation to bullying nurses to work faster. Leadership wants to turn high volumes with no processes, no resources, no foundation and is not considering risks because they don’t know processes and why we do things the way we do because SLT threw a ridiculous CoC initiative that was in no way feasible to accomplish. Forget bonuses next year.
CCA another area in HSO. Not sure why anyone is surprised
CCA is a dumpster fire. Agree Admin beware…there is allot of chatter around Automation replacing many roles. It’s a horrible existence everyday in PI.
I hate to tell the Staff VP of CCA but we will not make CoC this year and nowhere near it…she was too busy in Executive work and did not pay attention at the end of last year and through Quarter 1 2025 and set us up for failure. It’s very frustrating to work in this department as the SS team has made a mess of getting medical records and letters and then new platform is a mockery of a claims operating system. No funding to fix real issues.
Yep CCA is a mess…that platform is a joke. Admin should be on high alert…leadership wants to offshore as much as possible. Nurses should worry about longevity as well though..they may go through a hiring spree in the next year but as soon as Nurses can be trained to perform audits they are next and will careless about having bedside/clinical nursing experience. Plus all those nurses and admin in virtual roles with exemption for time and miles you are next..Leadership wants to remove the 50 mile or 1 hour clause for positions.
Oh my goodness yes it makes perfect sense why we are being asked about processes and now going to sit with Automation. I agree CCA (Complex Clinical Audit) is a mess in PI and the staff VP wants to be an executive doing contracts instead being a Staff leader and has a new minion in Shared Services that is acting like she’s queen bee and is really causing friction and is not nice to her team.
