Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Complete Employee/Contractor Outsourcing

Who else feels almost all contractor jobs and a big chunk of employee jobs are fixing to be outsourced to India?

I feel by end of 2026 a massive piece of Chevron will be completely outsourced.

NO ONE IS SAFE!

OP, yes this is obvious. It puts Chevron on the path to eventual collapse. Existing reserves, regardless of the competency (or lack thereof) of staffing, will last 10-20 years. With a comically (or tragically) inept exploration program, Chevron is now completely reliant on acquisitions for new reserves. If Hess fails, Chevron will be in a tail-spin. If Hess succeeds, add another 5 years. See this article: https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/chevron-struggles-replace-oil-gas-reserves-amid-hess-deal-limbo-2025-02-11/

Honest question, can we start a class action lawsuit for the amount of stress and reorganizing they’ve made us go through? Particularly this round where most people are not even represented - it’s a circle j-rk to get roles.

Chevron is a joke all the way around. EVERY time they buy a company or merge they do massive layoffs and make already chevron loyal existing employees reapply for their positions or take a package or apply for a different position. I’m sorry but what kind of fu---d up sh-t is that? That’s how you keep all their employees stressed and makes them hate their jobs and the company they work for. Every single person who is affected should write the local news outlets and report to BBB and file complaints through H.R anonymously

the more i looked at my talent card, the more i feel that i deserve a better job than the one at chevron. not to mention may have to transition to or work together with those low quality engine people even i am selected this round. time to jump the ship…

Well ironic that I have been at Chevron for those 2-3 years (plus) and only recently have really heard the huge push. Of course they have always outsourced… but 80% plus of entire departments. That is new news and I don’t mean the Helpdesk … so please sit down before you come in here rude. Just as easy to not comment as to type something. Hope that was shocking enough for you!!!

Is this meant to be shocking? This has literally been the publicly known headline for the last 2-3 years.
