Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Can someone explain how Noelle messed things up

I work in a production role that was under her umbrella and I think I’m not high enough in the food chain to understand what is looming. Anyone with info on her projects and what is to be of them would be greatly appreciated

Sincerely,
An Anxious Fellow Cignalite (bottom of the totem pole Band 1)

BE is clearly next CEO, BE hates NE. NE left before BE had the opportunity to fire her. She's been a disaster since she got here. AD (CFO) too. Finance layoffs coming en masse

I'll just leave this here. I've seen 2 people that I know who were JE'd and 2 who "retired" last year back with the company now. Hope they are figuring it out.

This reads like a phishing scam. A good first attempt project for one of the dozens of bright young interns who have arrived for summer.

To everyone who answered thank you!

To those holier-than-thou thinking a Band 1 is a know-nothing ignorant who does not read company emails or look at company organization directly available in your email, nice ego you got there

In times of uncertainty due to layoffs the best and brightest leave.

Layoffs for a long time never work and for some reason companies keep on doing it.

Her decisions messed everything up. Everyone in IT & development felt uncertain about their roles. If you have used myCigna mobile app, you would know what a mess it is.

Laughable! A Band 1 wouldn’t even know who Noelle was. Or care about her projects. You lost me at the term Cignalite

HIH. The plan is to outsource everything that can be (and some stuff that can't legally but they are doing it anyway like violating HIPPA and other controls that overseas employees shouldn't be able to see).

In this case outsource means "full-time" employees in India.

The issue is that they aren't paying enough to hire superstars in India but are laying off the superstars from their US.

In the current political climate I wouldn't be surprised if this plan backfires on them not to mention it's putting a ton of people without jobs.
