Wow, did she really say "get over this nonsesne?" If so, that's such an immature response, such weak leadership. I'm so glad I'm gone. I had a feeling things were going to get worse.

I do recognize that it is their perogative if they want to do RTO, people just need to come to terms with it (I couldn't, and so I left). It totally su-ks, but it is what it is. But it doesn't sound like they're inspiring people to return, or even to feel secure in their jobs. More signs of really weak leadership. You can be both a motivating leader and also firm, but most large companies have leadership that is driven by fear and they impart that onto their employees.

Let's face it, most corporate leaders do not get to where they are because they are exceptionally smart, exceptionally hard working or exceptionally good at what they do. Rather, they know how to navigate the dynamics and silliness of corporate, and they get connected to the right people.

Ultimately you have the choice, which should be empowering. It's scary, no doubt, especially under current economic conditions. But you're miserable at USB (and many are, I was one), then don't give them the benefit of your efforts and leave. Or, try and get yourself into position to leverage the next layoffs and get a severance. Corporate su-ks, life is too short to suffer through it. Stay strong, and my best to all of you. I wish none of us had to deal with this.

Corp America is cooked. You absolutely can operate without shareholders.

How about run the business properly with people who know how to run it, and turn a healthy profit without relying on handouts from “shareholders”

US Bank will not survive late stage capitalism without employees keeping the business running

Signed, Employee and soon to be former shareholder

The questions asked about Gunjan:

"What is your take on Gunjan's insensitive remarks during the last allhands call?" He responded to this one, which I thought was gutsy, though he did defend her as simply being "blunt and direct."

"Can you elaborate on what you and Gunjan mean by 'Organizational Simplicity'?"

"Can you address Gunjan's 'get over this nonsense' comment regarding RTO? Seems very insensitive. + she called the pay discussion 'selfish'"

Additional notable questions/comments:

"What is the company's strategy relating to the continuous shift of roles historically based in the US being outsourced to other countries like Poland and India?"

"When will the bank dedicate as much focus on its employees and employee experience as on the investors?"

"A gentle reminder to leadership in terms of balance - Without our employees, the company cannot flourish, and without a flourishing company, there is no return on investment for shareholders. Our employees, especially at lower levels, matter." He responded to this one as well, saying that he absolutely agrees and that it's not an either/or situation, but an "and" situation because we can't function without investors.

I mean, there's a lot of foreshadowing to be found if you listen in those calls. They're not hiding much at this point.

: @a2+1jvsk9cdk Exactly did you see Jamie was checked out the whole time on his phone with his head down arms crossed. Like it could not of been over fast enough. They took what two questions. They have no idea how the average employee feels and how bad the working conditions are. The Europe employee got a high five and nothing to the US employees pure silence.

Just because employees are on this call doesn’t mean anyone is listening. I’m so beyond checked out. A person can only handle so much abuse by their employer. The ‘leadership’ and management here is a joke.
