Thread regarding USAA layoffs

I need a new job

Working here feels like running on a treadmill that’s stuck at the slowest setting. The layers of micromanagement make it impossible to take any real initiative, and most decisions get stuck in endless approval loops. The outdated systems and processes don’t help, and career growth moves at a glacial pace unless you’re constantly playing the approval game with higher-ups. I gave it six years. I'm done now.

Having retired from the Army and dedicated over a decade to USAA, it's honestly shameful and deeply disappointing to witness the lack of integrity shown by EMG and the C-suite. The way they’re pushing people out... many of whom have given years of loyal service, is a clear sign that leadership has lost touch with the company’s core values. This isn’t the USAA we signed up to serve.

Comrade , You're not alone, many of us feel like we're stuck on the same sinking ship. The level of micromanagement here has reached a point where it’s stifling productivity and morale. Unfortunately, with the job market still recovering, options are limited. It would be a huge relief if USAA offered a voluntary separation package or something like 6 months severance—to give people a dignified way out instead of dragging them through this mess.

I know exactly how you feel. They go on and on about development, but what they failed to go forward with his career advancement
