I'm new. Is it like this everywhere? I can't make any plans at all. The pay is terrible, and on top of that, the fact that you never know your schedule far enough in advance is definitely going to make me leave this place sooner rather than later.

The pay? I make more as a FT cashier than I made as a Retail Store Manager in NY for 40 years!!! And we get our schedule 3 weeks in advance! When I was a SM I made it 1 week in advance!!!
