You have better luck using AI to clean up your resume and cover letter and making it sound human.

LHH was useless for me. ✅ the box.

I had pretty much the same experience as @a9+1jvjdsm9p. The resume services weren't particularly helpful, they didn't understand the technical line items and asked me to remove them, even though those technical skillsets are the main reason why you'd hire me. I applied to a few jobs with their resume, and didn't get responses. Switched back to my normal resume, and I got a few responses, still nothing like I was getting a few years ago though.

I agree with the "check the box" comment. LHH was diligent in making attempts to keep in contact so they could show activity with the client.

The service is better than nothing and could serve to provide some structure in creating a process to find a new job.

Ultimately finding a new job is on the individual.

I think it is just there to check a box.

Not really. They are persistent in contacting you to make sure you take advantage of their services, but that's about it. I tried their resume revision service and the individual made a ton of grammatical errors. That tells me they used AI and didn't proof read or use English as a second language. Their job board has the same listings you'll find through LinkedIN, but has a far less intuitive search function. In short they were basically useless.
