It shouldn't come as any surprise that the layoffs will hit in December. When the C Suite says "Reduction in Force" it's a nice way of saying: "We need to pad our pockets, and those of the investors." Allstate has made so many flops. We can't even compete with Liberty Mutual, State Farm, not even GEICO. Senior Leadership should take a look at directors and managers in groups and see why their teams have been jumping ship. I used to know some in the Fusion Center before those managers destroyed it all the while the CISOs and their "echo chambers" of managers and directors got raises while the real workers suffered from low morale causing about 90% of that group to leave. The rest? Shipped to ASPL where those workers enjoy downloading pirated software, viewing p o r n, and not caring where the client's data ended up. AS is now pathetic.

There used to be a time where there was a 60 day notice before clearing the books for end of the year. I guess it's desperate times and they are going too work folks until their very last day.
There is really no need for sales managers (SM). They bring nothing to the table at all. Many SM's have never sold a policy in their lives. SM's no longer have any authority to solve any problems that might happen in the agency world. Sm's have become the mouth piece of "LEADERSHIP." Leadership has no problem thinking up these great ideas, so they can be their own mouth piece and just post their rules on Gateway or Email.
It's amazing how many high level division managers and directors have very few or even zero direct reports. They sit there making well into six figures doing nothing and having no responsibilities just because of who they know. If this company actually wants to get serious about cost cutting and waste they can start with those overpaid self important egos and holier than thou wastes of space that can easily be eliminated and not missed in the least. Start with those 6 figure salaries that are nothing short of misappropriation of funds to this company.
