Another wonderful strategic move by our esteemed leadership. How long till this too comes to bite the company on the rear end and the dedicated staff are the ones that get effing RIF'd as a result of tens/hundreds of millions pi---d up a wall on legal fees. Joys.

I'm pretty sure OP was working for Illumina before and guess where is working now?
This board is wild sometimes. How on earth could this be viewed as a negative. It is a smart move, and smart timing, if you know much about this type of lawsuit.
These IP suits happen all the time. Every similar company has ongoing litigation like this. This one is particularly interesting because of who it is, but it’s not unusual by any means.
Also, to the OP, are you deeply familiar with the claims of the suit or their merits..? If not, then you might want to think twice about fuming over it. If there’s merit to the case, would you rather have ILMN just roll over and get hosed..?
If Element stole IP they need to be punished. I’m all for it.
It's the only way to stop this nonsensical money-burning machine.
sue em. burn em to the ground. Its OUR time to win now.
Illumina is being self-destroyed. Nothing to do with Element and others.
