Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

List of Complaints so far.

  1. Despite being told our selection rep would be familiar with us, NOT ONE PERSON on my team has even heard of them.
  1. ALL the jobs (wells, completion, & production) have the same description (but not titles and functions) so you can’t tell what to apply for.
  1. The selection rep, in their own words, has never been a PDR and is actively learning about the posted jobs….and our time to meet them is next week (some

As early as Monday morning).

  1. No org chart???? Why?
  1. So many jobs posted to India that absolutely need a field presence here. It is as if it was designed by people who learned about oil and gas from watching YouTube videos.

Feel free to add on to the list.

I hate to inform people of this but if you haven't been specifically told to post for a certain job then you aren't going to have one. It's like hitting a moving target in the dark.

“I WANT to post for the job I’m in or wherever “they” might want me to post. I’m playing ball. But they have made it so absurdly difficult to even post for your job (or know what job to post for)”

Because this is nothing but an illusion of choice.

Like I said in another post…just put out the d***n org charts already. They have them but keep them secret and as a “draft”.

I WANT to post for the job I’m in or wherever “they” might want me to post. I’m playing ball. But they have made it so absurdly difficult to even post for your job (or know what job to post for) that it is to the point I may just EOI and take me year severance. This is absolutely d-mb.

THE CHEVRON WAY!!
"You applied to a position you don't qualify for. YOU ARE FIRED!".
No wonder this company is going down, down, down.

What if I told you that all of this is deliberately designed? These problems are intentionally created to be as confusing as possible. They want you to choose from pre-planned options, making it easy to steer you in a specific direction—while avoiding all accountability.
