Got caught up in the latest round of layoffs - May 16th (May 30 end date). Product Development. Curious how many dive back in and how many take the package and head to greener pastures.

Which org? OCI engineering org is hiring like crazy though. I see so many new hires everywhere.
What development orgs were hit?
Sorry to hear that folks.
Saw some SVOS layoffs too.
I hope the leadership there gets the axe. Terrible leadership. CD and DS are the worst in that org and a few others. DS the VP is so clueless that I am surprised that she is a VP, or maybe that's how O works.
Can anyone provide some insight into what the severance packages look like for those impacted?
I am intrigued by the people remarking that it has been slow.
My team is crazy busy, so much so that I would not be upset to get that paperwork. The last year has been the busiest I have ever seen, and I have been here a long time.
I was affected, too. Last day May 30th. I wonder how large this round was. Has been pretty slow for the past 6 months or so. I thought I would be hit during the latest March layoffs.
I have heard sorry for a long time. It doesn't heal any scars.
Sorry to hear this, hope all of you folks impacted find a good landing spot.
Heard today of the layoffs under AS whole org. Solaris looks like got hit the most. Employees laid off first then the managers the next day. Sad.
Hope more VPs get let go. I don't understand how a VP can report to VP who reports to a VP. Too many layers.
I’m really sorry to hear about the recent layoffs - hoping everyone affected lands on their feet soon. Did they share any reasons for the cuts?
I’ve noticed layoffs seem to happen around this time, especially before the financial year ends. Is this part of a regular cycle, or are there signs of more to come?
Got mine too - FMW/PaaS Cross Projects. Same for me 30-May last day, RIF, job obsolete, no analytics needed.
SAND Solaris UNIX team.
Got my slips. Fusion middleware
This is just first round. Expect more layoffs. Oracle always layoff in small batches. Expecting more senior management too. QA’s, more p/cmts with old and obsolete products beware. Fusion and Middleware will be trimmed soon.
Americans are getting laid off. Meanwhile, foreign workers are being hired directly from overseas, sponsored for H-1B visas, and openly sharing tips on how to game the system on Reddit. All IDC teams can get legit unlimited L1B visas anytime and can be moved to US in a blink of an eye.
Anyone from Oracle Fusion
Got canned too. Oracle Linux group.
I am part of the same layoff group. May 30 last day, typical reduction of work force due to lack of workload.
For what is worth it has been miserably slow pretty much since the beginning of the year.
sad to hear
So you are saying that I missed another round of layoffs? UNREAL!!
Got nabbed too - Information Development org
