So...no one on the ES side is nervous about the beating PBMs are taking in Congressional hearings? Lots of strong rhetoric coming about PBM greed and needing to be broken up. Been crickets in here about it.

on a personal morality level, I really don't think an insurance company, the PBM, and the pharmacy should all be owned by the same entity. I had big hopes for the bill introduced by Hawley and Warren last year
but at the same time, if there was a divesture forced, especially between ESI & Cigna, it would make my professional life he-l and would splinter my team, and I'm not sure where I would end up
So I guess,,, play both sides and you always come out on top? /s
They’ve been attacking pbms for years. Nothing ever comes of it. It’s just posturing by politicians.
Always cheaper paying oop, GoodRx, mark cuban, ridiculous. WHY are we PAYING for the ptivledge of being scammed and overcharged??
On the ESI/HS side, I have seen more transparency from Accredo on the cost of the "specialty" prescriptions. However it's frustrating when I am told at the pharmacy that cost of medications is cheaper paying out of pocket or using GoodRx than insurance.
As they should. An employer that offers Cigna health insurance to their employees then says oh and for pharmacy you have ti use express scripts which is also owned by Cigna. It is double dipping and I cannot wait for congress to do something about it. Small mom and pop pharmacies and larger chain pharmacies are suffering bc is this. Express scripts needs to break away from the insurance company and be it’s own company or they need to do away with PBMs all together.
Next they need to go after insurance companies owning company’s such as Evicore. Hey Cigna customer you need a pre auth so let’s send to a company we own to review. Shady as he-l
About time America wakes up
Nope.
