Having retired from the Army and dedicated over a decade to USAA, it's honestly shameful and deeply disappointing to witness the lack of integrity shown by EMG and the C-suite. The way they’re pushing people out... many of whom have given years of loyal service, is a clear sign that leadership has lost touch with the company’s core values. This isn’t the USAA we signed up to serve.

Agreed with what you just said. I am in SAT, the same frustrating pattern emerges here as well.. engineers are being stifled, discouraged, and subjected to excessive micromanagement through arbitrary story points and cycle time tracking. Instead of fostering innovation and trust, this rigid approach suffocates creativity, demoralizes the team, and erodes productivity.

Yep, hearing the same in my department with CTXO in Plano. Management is clearly ramping up forced attrition tactics-classic move to avoid direct layoffs but still shrink headcount. It’s demoralizing to see leadership resort to these underhanded strategies instead of honest communication or genuine support for employees. With the wave of tech layoffs starting in Q3/Q4 2025 onward - it's obvious that cost-cutting and downsizing are being prioritized over stability and team morale
Forced attrition just adds more anxiety and uncertainty, making it harder for anyone to feel secure or valued in their role.
