Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Are you serious?

Not sure if this selection tool is a reflection of indifference or incompetence. In our BU, the selection criteria is the same for EVERY role. Job descriptions are vague and as low effort as "no material changes from current". Well then can you at least post the old job description so someone besides the incumbent knows ? And still no org chart....this is all so disheartening.

Now I understand why CVX is going down.
LOTS OF INCOMPETENCE !!
This process is ridiculous!
Did you see the new Insights meeting scheduled for Monday morning? I bet people complained about this mess and now they need to "train" how to use it.
Duplicate job titles, no job number to sort, vague job description, etc, etc.

Central IT? They didn’t do this to you. The fact that you think IT did the job descriptions is grounds for you being laid off on the spot.

You must recognize that this is a matter of matching effort to results. Since this is a game of placing widgets in slots, and, within their discipline, all widgets are the same, why would you expect more energy would be expended on describing slots?
