Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Does UHG even have a future?

I used to think we were way, way, way too big to fail. But so were Enron, Sears, and plenty of others. With everything, and I mean everything, going in the wrong direction lately, and the stock plummeting, I'm genuinely starting to worry where this place will be ten years from now.

UHG is no Enron or Lehman. If they let those fail why would anyone bother saving UHG.

It’s been years and I’m still recovering from the toll this toxic place put on me. I was a high functioning alcoholic working for this place. I was afraid to go to the bathroom before I hit send on an email in this place. I developed diseases enduring the stress of this place. Fu-k that and fu-k this place

So glad I left this toxic place. My mental health has been better than it has in years! No more corrupt leadership beating me into the ground.

I admire the one that quit with no severance or unemployment. I have put so much of my time into this company and always felt invisible. You have made me feel stronger. Thank you and I wish you all the very best.

I think the company will survive even if it merges with another eventually but leadership has to clean up their act cuz upper leadership is running the company in the ground and Witty was one of them! I recently resigned on my own no new job, no severance, no employment no nothing! This job was effecting my mental health. I called EAP and eventually a Psycharist about the stress I endured on my team. I was working to 1am most nights weekends and going above and beyond and received a 2 on my evaluation that sent me over the edge before I let a job put me in the ground I’m walking away to save myself and my mental health I have faith that another job will come eventually! I couldn’t take it anymore! I would wake up crying and go toned crying! No job career should bring this type of stress.

The company yes.

The staff..yes, but reduced by half. It’s obvious that they want to push everything to AI.

The shareholders will be the puppet masters and control everything like they do today.

Overreaction. It's only natural the people that were let go would say it's going down. They need to think they were irreplaceable and without them there is no way this company will survive. It will. It's a giant and none of us really matter individually. It's tough now, but it will be fine. Just give it time.
