Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Fidelity email Life After Chevron

Just got an email from Fidelity about Life after Chevron and steps to take during my transition??

I have not been notified that I've been left standing. Selections haven't happened yet.

Does Fidelity know something I don't, or is that a generic email that many received?

Sounds like someone at Fidelity is doing us all a solid.

Make plans accordingly.

“ We all got it. Fidelity is totally dialed into what is going on within Chevron since they are our vendor.”

Can confirm. I’ve been meeting with Fidelity for some time and they have been inundated with Chevron people freaking out. I 100% guarantee they know more about what’s really going to happen based on the number of people from Chevron dishing the dirt.

Rumor is the Hess crowd got the email too. Email said Hess and India workforce is taking CVX stock to the moon!

Seems like Fidelity could have included some background on why they sent the email, to avoid these questions.

I did not get a letter/email from Fidelity and I am out of scope.

We all got it. Fidelity is totally dialed into what is going on within Chevron since they are our vendor. They understand the severance program, etc.. However, they are not privy to any confidential info like who’s being let go, org charts, etc… so they are just being proactive.

It is possibly for everyone just to prepare for anything that comes so you can be ready.

Seems as though it went to everyone. Company likely didn’t approve the wording and or scope. Company should follow up on this since it is horrible wording and not what any of us needs right now.

A what happens if email, sure, but this isn’t worded that way.

I believe we all got it. I plan on attending so I know my options. Best to plan now instead of last minute.
