Bridge pay?

Did anyone else receive a “bridge pay” on their paystubs this week for May 4-10? What is it and what does it mean? I looked on Google and it says it’s for employees who are starting new employment but haven’t left their current job yet 🧐

Bridge pay means your current pay check was incomplete. Sounds like HR at your store didn’t fully enter your time when the system was down. Your finished pay will arrive on the next check.

Have been able to access workday and next pay statement with no interruption.
I have never heard of bridge pay.
