Belk is still being hacked. The IT employees are completely in over their head. Employee and customer data has and is still being compromised. The fact that corporate has not communicated this yet is insane. The class action lawsuits that follow will put Belk out of business.

The employees deserve an explanation
The employees did not get paid correctly on their paycheck. They are missing a day and a half of pay. WTH. Why? How? Where is the money? Will it get fixed for the next paycheck? If not, they will quit. That’s not right. You have got to come up with a plan quick.
"First off, belk is not going anywhere, they are not going bankrupt, quit the lies and dropping bs without proof. The lay off is nothing more than a bunch of id--ts who still live with their parents and post garbage with no proof".
So if Belk is doing so great, why can't stores pay someone to vacuum and clean the toilets? crickets........
@gq+1. This person is on some serious dr-gs
@gq+1. Belk already filed bankruptcy once. Wtf are you talking about?
A person to contact that may get this into the news cycle is eCommerce bytes. You can also contact Ina Steiner on X. She mainly focuses on Etsy, Amazon etc but Belk does have e commerce too

@gq+1. Could you really be that naive. Who really is the id--t?
If you think for a second that Belk is in a good place financially you are delusional. Sure, Belk can limp along and make their books look better than they really are. Companies do that all the time. That said, it will eventually catch up with them and they will disappear like Sears and K-Mart and others.
First off, belk is not going anywhere, they are not going bankrupt, quit the lies and dropping bs without proof. The lay off is nothing more than a bunch of id--ts who still live with their parents and post garbage with no proof.
I do not think it was cyber attack because the belk page was still up and active. Usually when a company is hacked everything is shut down and the website would have been unavailable. It sounds like more of an internal scheme since only cash and belk cards could be used and the fact that it didn't hit the news with belk being such a large company
There is a lot of panic at the top. The second a news organization gets wind of this, it’s over.
@a1+1 and @a3+1
Oh no, can you be a more obvious belk shill.
Here come the corporate shills. lol! This hack will end Belk. Run while you can and jump in all of the class action lawsuits!
Given that Belk cards were working through this it’s likely they were not affected by any breach in security. This makes sense as it a Belk internal system partnered with a US bank which likely keeps Belk cardholders information separate with synchrony bank. Belk shut down systems which means they were trying to contain the attack and protect the customers and company which is the absolute best thing they could have done. If it was a hack and they shut down these systems they can avoid most lawsuits as they were proactive in customer security. Other retailers that have faced cybersecurity issues have done similar things. Hackers wouldn’t shut down some systems and keep some lmao, which proves it was Belk being proactive during this.
… and yet they are still ok with stores opening up new credit cards knowing what is happening.
Stores has cyber security breaches all the time. I’m sure Belk IT is still figuring out the extent of the hack before releasing to the public. An immature public announcement could cause more harm than good especially among Belk cardholders. There will be an investigation before they can release any information to the public it’s common sense
