AbU advertising for interns for summer. What are they gonna do, mentor them from India and Manila, hire them, and then lay them off?
Last year engineering (wells) interns made $55 a hour. Great pay for a student.

You must not work at Chevron because interns are not free at Chevron. Based upon many of your posts, they probably make more than you per month.
