Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

A potted history, and what of the future...

DXC was formed in April 2017, at which time, as a global IT company, it had revenues of some $25 billion, with some 6000 clients, and 170,000 staff.

Since then, under the expert guidance and tutelage of three CEO's, the company reported revenues (Nov 2024) have fallen to $13.7 billion, with considerably fewer clients, and some 125,000 staff, one third of whom are based in India.

Add to those scintilating figures, compounded by the knowledge that these CEO's have rewarded themselves with countless millions of dollars over that period, you now have disillusioned, embittered workforce, many of whom have tolerated zero salary increase for years. Layers of incapable management just add to the frustration and resentment, over a broken company structure.

Yes, thanks for the status quo are essentially due to Mike Lawrie, Mike Salvino, Raul Fernandez and their appointed minions.

So what would you do to turn things around, and if possible, who would you choose as a replacement CEO?

The ceos and directors have managed dxc according to the original Hp/CSc merger plan which was as to milk the existing contracts and slowly liquidate. They and the stockholders have done well, even with declining market share and revenue. Everyone SHOULD know that there’s no incentive to actually grow and plan the rest of their careers accordingly.

Wasnt the current CEO brought in to take over from sal as the growth CEO

No, he was an existing Board member who lost the rock-paper-scissors session the board had to go through to select from their own as the next CEO when they failed to get a single external candidate apply for the job

I quizzed AI for replacement CEO recommendations. It came up with:

Arvind Krishna, current CEO at IBM (cloud and AI experience).
Ginni Rometty, former CEO at IBM (transformation and consulting).
Juie Sweet, current CEO at Accenture (innovation and transformation).
David Rowland, former CEO at Accenture (large scale operations and client relationships).

Interesting...

We will see if the latest batch of 3rd raters added over 18 months have produced anything on the results this Wednesday. Add to tgat the legacy management layers who are dinosaurs who have no forward vision. We can see its a ship with its anchor down and the employees are whipped to row the hard work but the ship is going nowhere.

When will see any growth?, we dont want to hear them next quarter promises every quarter.
