Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

July 1st rumors

Anyone in the know of what exactly is supposed to happen come July 1st? Just a reorg? Or something more? Looks like other Blues plans are rumored to have something happening come July 1st also.

There isn’t enough space in the Chicago HQ to bring everyone back 5 days,.

Don’t expect a RIF on July 1st, just a big old game of SLT musical chairs.

@1mf that would be the best thing that could happen. He is absent anyway

If a RIF were to occur by EOY, would it likely include a higher percentage of former EEs of Cigna? Or is this rumored RIF company wide?

have they ever done a rif that size? all of the ones i know of have been small - the most was a few hundred people.

5 day rto would torpedo any hope of a decent talent pool ever again. it wouldn't exactly shock me if they did that, but yikes.

No inside info here. But just based on experience from a lengthy career here, I wouldn't be shocked by a 5 day return to office for anyone who isn't a FT telecommute. I think they will probably play that card before they do a major RIF, just for the cost savings they would get from voluntary departures

They probably offer early retirements for a lot of people. 5 days a week in office would be diabolical

5 days in the office is plausible if you want to force attrition

A lot of people are going to be receiving bad news this year. I heard this week talk a 10% RIF.

5 days in office is never going to happen.

I'm guessing Maurice is going to step down as CEO and run the board and they aer going to require 5 days in the office at the same time

Be more specific when asking a question as such.
Other Blues plans….?
FYI. If you’re new here; reorgs are ongoing.

Maybe Maurice is stepping back from CEO duties to focus on the Board?

The annual tradition where they write a few dozen VPs names on pieces of paper and then randomly draw for new divisional assignments.
