I'm worried about this week

I think we haven't seen the end of this.

Imagine waking up everyday thinking like this? At what point do you move on? Are you that lacking in talent that no one else would want you?

Yeah, not a huge fan of people telling others what they can and cannot post. As if theirs is the super-opinion, prevailing over all others.

I hope you don't have to face this, when we see our colleagues are gone suddenly, it is hard not to worry. You don't have to read the posts if they bother you, people need a place to anonymously vent.

It's not over until it is and none of us can see the future. I have been here 20+ years and I have been through many layoffs, reorgs, etc.. It is an ever changing environment but these days it is hard just relax and be ok. It's ok to worry, it is natural for us all to worry when people are going left and right and we never know who is next. I can't shake thinking about it but I try to focus on work and compartmentalize these layoffs for my own sanity. I wish this for everyone, it is how I make it through. I wish the best for everyone, if you want to stay or if you want to go. Just remember you can look through these boards and it is unfortunately happening everywhere.

Anyone saying it's over is gaslighting others. Keep resume up to date and hope the severance doesn't change for the worse.

The people saying not to worry said the same thing in late March, but then my team lost about 1/4 of employees and now we are all expected to work extra to make up for it. More layoffs are coming, though the next big one is supposed to be in July. We can’t do anything about it, so take some deep breaths. Keep your resume up to date, and if you let go, take a week off to decompress and the. Go out and find something better if you can. But I get it. I am tired of it too. Month after month everywhere I look teams are losing more while the HIH crew expands and slows us all down. Sad that it’s this way, but it is how corporate America operates, so best to accept what we can’t control and carry on with what we can. Best of luck.

You folks need to chill out. Do you think it’s any different anywhere else?

Good grief. It’s over, stop being a worry wart. You are what’s making people worried, stop it.
