Thread regarding IBM layoffs

This is just the start

Expect to see many, many more positions replaced by AI. Whether that's a good idea or whether it turns into a disaster down the line doesn't matter. Right now, it's saving money, so right now, it's going to keep happening. If you think your position is safe from this, now is the time to seriously rethink that.

This is why Microsoft sites (false marketer of slop, basing its whole stock on this bubble) are parroting Arvind this weekend: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/ibm-replaced-hundreds-of-hr-workers-with-ai-according-to-its-ceo/ar-AA1EqgrA

Calling AUTOMATION or slop "ai" does not mean anything new or unprecedented was invented. Shouldered by corporate media, companies like to pretend that their financial failures, which result in mass layoffs, are some sort of "revolution" to be celebrated or a new "era" or "arms race". People like Arving, son of two military liars, loves this sort of bluff.

Alvind's position has not disappeared as yet..but no one can count on the status quo in 5 to 10 years as AI moves ahead. What value does he bring other than tell some some tall stories about AI and his past expertise for the business channels ? Same goes for Krabanaugh and the rest of the P1mpmunks. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

Facts with numbers, not fiction.
