I was unable to use my reward $'s yesterday nor my $10.00 certificate for my birthday. I was told by a cashier that it was a Cyberattack and all stores in NC and SC were affected. I was also told that Home Depot and Lowe's were also affected.

This is bullsh-t and public needs to know what is going on. When I make my return I will never buy another product from Belk

Reflexis is still down. Try to check it today, and it's now saying Zebra Workforce. Did they move our Reflexis info to this site?

As of today, right now, the registers are back online and everything seems to be going Ok so far. Reflexis is still not working and we have to write our time on a slip of paper.

Just wait until the system is back up. Then they're going to have more problems, especially with the credit card transactions that already went through. Customer are going to say they've been charged twice or multiple times, there's going to be chargebacks on cards that shouldn't have been approved, sales/charges are going to magically disappear, essentially giving customers items for for free. May not happen what I described, but it's going to be a mess.

I’m sure Belk Legal offers a canned response for store managers, and they in-turn pass that along to us as the only thing we’re allowed to say to customers. If this was truly just an IT related issue, all they would’ve had to do is deploy a previous version that wasn’t “buggy“— just like you would do on your mobile phone. The way this issue gradually spread from one system to another to Reflexis to all Microsoft products, those are characteristics of malware spreading. We barely have enough employees to cover the departments much less recover fitting rooms. If they can’t afford payroll for those areas, they certainly aren’t going to bolster our security protocols.

I haven't been there since Sunday. I return to work today for the closing shift. I'm already dreading it. It's funny that you mention AC issues. In our store, it seems to go back and forth with the A/C. Sometimes you can feel it working, a lot of times, it doesn't feel like it's on. I just figured they were being cheap on the power bill. This is a second job for me. At my primary job, when our systems go down, we normally have it back by the end of the business day. I've heard some rumors that Belk laid off a portion of its IT workers. Could be the reason why no one knows what's going on.

Has anyone currently in-store noticed any changes? The last update mentioned that some functions were coming back online. I haven’t seen any progress at our location, although I haven’t tested every type of transaction.

Someone else noted that managers were using the PA system to communicate. That isn’t an option in our store. Our intercom relies on internet access, which is still down.

Store leadership says work orders have been submitted for the AC. It’s over 76° inside and quite uncomfortable. This appears to be yet another cost-cutting decision from the new board, though store level management isn’t acknowledging that directly.

From what I’ve seen, this looks like a cyber attack. And if that’s the case, it highlights how years of penny-pinching and underinvesting in vital areas such as tech infrastructure are catching up. Cutting costs in the wrong areas has left the company vulnerable—and now it’s paying the price. I look forward to the way they plan to spin this when everything comes to light.

Work in Georgia location, some functions are restored, a few not yet, some glitches- no internal communication, phone systems down, no PA, limited returns, doesn’t matter if it’s belk card or not. Managers hush hush, we were told do not post on social media about it.

There hasn’t been an official statement as to whatever is going on. The managers just keep making the same announcement on the PA system. They probably don’t want it to go public or make news. This is a pay week for Belk employees. Let’s hope that wasn’t compromised as well.

So here at the Southpark location in Charlotte the system went offline around 2:00 pm on Friday. As of me clocking out (which I had to do on a sheet of paper) at 3:00 pm Monday afternoon it was still offline. All of ship to home is currently off, returns are currently only working if you bought at a physical store and have the receipt. Online returns will not work at all. Reflexis is broken. Belk rewards dollars can’t be used, gift cards can’t be spent or bought. The cash limit is only up to $400 so fine jewelry, handbags, luxury brands were sc--wed this weekend. The zebra scanners are also offline so we had to set the weekly sale using the Belk app. The company definitely got hacked no doubt about it. Nothing us employees can do it’s all up to the corporate team now to fix whatever is happening.

The part about upper management being really secretive about everything. Our store managers don’t know, because corporate is not telling them anything. That’s what feels off to me. We still can’t log in this morning.

So much for steering in store customers to the app. Better have a plan B C and D.

I noticed some strange activity coming in to work the day it happened. There were a few law enforcement officers hanging around the store. At first I thought it was extra security for a busy weekend, but then I had a feeling that something was going to go down. It has nothing to do with 3rd party credit cards. Most of those still work. Our scheduling/time clock system is down too. No one has a clue as to what’s going on and management is not being transparent about it.

Um no Belk didn’t do this to save on third party charges and to use Belk card. I know because I work at one and half the day the computer wasn’t allowing Belk cards to go through on certain registers. That was definitely not the case. We still have zero access to Reflexis which is what we use to log in and do other things.

Definitely hacked. No access to email or internal messaging. CC payments unavailable. Everyone is locked out. Probably ransomware.

They did this so customers would use the BELK card.

Im gonna say that belk intentionally did this to save money from not paying 3rd party credit card transaction fees. On mothers day weekend of all times??? I think there is more to this than we know.

The fact we can’t tell anyone anything, is very strange and customers are questioning many things. It’s hard to just shrug your shoulders and tell them, “We aren’t sure why it’s still doing this.” Very odd and I hope no one’s personal info has been stolen.

Oh 100%. A spam email got through
earlier this week and i guarantee someone clicked it and that’s what started all of it. The fact it keeps getting worse each day is concerning

It is even worse today. No access to Reflexis and associates do not know when they are working the rest of the week.

The whole situation was extremely strange! It’s like nobody knew anything even on corporate level. I’m praying it’s fixed soon because I can’t take another day of the customers taking it out on us!!
