JDI in June, Confirms Layoffs in August

Since they’re moving JDI to the end of the fiscal, we’re definitely having layoffs Late August Early September. Buckle up! In the words of the infamous JD speech in 2020: “You all asked for this!”

If you want a package tell your leader you’re looking for severance. They’ll be prompted names here in the coming months.

Before JD, JDI day was always in June.

It won’t happen before PSP and Wellness Week—that’s the APR blackout period, and HR Ops can’t process moves during that time. The sweet spot is always between Rest and Recovery and Labor Day.

That’s before the retail peak season and DC ramp-up. EMEA will likely follow a different timeline, probably around April or May.

Of course there will be layoffs, Nike isn’t cool anymore and the turnaround can’t fix that. Get your job search going now, gonna take you 6-8 months at least.

Boy, I hope so. I can find less and less parking spots now even when I roll in at 9:30 in the morning! Good grief!
