Can't be good.

Yes they are. Look at the job postings a ton of manager positions.
I could not stay in a toxic environment. I move on.
I also left. Directors and VPs were worthless.
Do some of y’all know each other? Wtf.
BTW. I hope you enjoy your hour long commute 3 days a week to kiss the VP’s a-s.
Karma is a bi--h.
Unless the manager is best friend with VP who hired then. That manager didn’t know the business and was worthless gossip machine. Fake as fu-k two-faced bi--h. She thinks she’s safe but everyone thinks that until they aren’t. You time will come dum--ss
I think you need to separate managers from directors and above. Most managers work very hard to support their staff in ways they don't even know about - the demand put on managers is totally toxic. Constant emergencies, constantly told to get rid of people who are not meeting their metrics regardless of why they are not. Directors with few exceptions do nothing to support managers. The average staff person has no idea the amount of support they are getting from their manager - it is a thankless job, I know it first hand - can't wait to get out of here and regain my mental health.
I jumped
So? Most of them do zilch anyway.
I may work for the most incompetent, conniving, director in the whole organization who would be termed today if Gail knew how much money we waste.
Lower management is looking to get out. Everybody I speak with is looking to leave.
Yep I know a great one who just did! Companies loss!
Having a manager work in office when they likely have team members in multiple time zones and often ZERO staff in their local pulse point is ridiculous. If I hadn’t already retired last year this would push me to exit. I used to keep the computer on in case a west coast associate needed me but not a minute past 5 EST in this scenario
Agree we will be fine. We have too many doing nothing now. I never even heard from my manager. They will now have to actually work. There’s a concept! What a brilliant plan!
It's because of RTO.
I think we’ll be fine. Directors might need to start doing actual work and manage down instead of up.
Can you blame them? 3 day a week in office mandate. This is what SLT wanted to get out of sub pay. Looked at job posted recently for manager roles and it had 3 day a week in requirement written in. No one will want to be a manager anymore.
