Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Earnings Looked Good!

I think we are safe from another round of layoffs for now. While CDW might exit under performers individually (as they should), they won't need to have a round of layoffs with good numbers. That is what this site is about, right: Staying up to date on if there will be layoffs.

Remember CDW took our accrued vacation and sick time off the books. When this liability is gone the numbers look better. Can only do it for a single quarter. Lets see what the numbers look like this quarter

Mmmm… bookmark this post for when you get laid off and discover you don’t really have as much CDw stock as you thought.

Yes it is more realistic because how are you not miserable? Unless you are a middle manager just chilling.. there’s not much to like. most people are underpaid and overworked and our redundant inefficient workflows should be used as a form of torture. On top of that people make less yoy while performing the same job that gets more time consuming every day and on top of that we are losing money by being a shareholder. I’m not seeing the value other than having a job in this terrible economy/job market.

Got it, so it is more realistic to think that CDW HR and Communications team is writing on this site than it is to believe that maybe there is 1 (of the 10,000+) Coworkers at CDW that is not miserable and had something positive to say.

  • This is a load of sh-t. You a--holes are going to continue to lay people off because you don't know how to run a quality company.

This post was obviously written by a C Suite or HR hack. Is someone really an “under-performer” if leadership has no defined and actionable values strategy?

Thank you HR and communications teams for monitoring these sites and updating us. Only those HR would know if layoffs occurred in the entire company and only communications would agree to post it. The question is, can we believe what you are saying here. I say no but we can check on that.

CDW did not have "layoffs" of any kind this week.
I am sure a Coworker may have been terminated due to performance and was let go. That can happen any day. Ask that person if they got a package. I bet they did not.

As another poster mentioned, it does seem there were some form of layoffs, though unclear as to what part of the org.

Not true, there is a post in the section name "anyone looking at legal options" from someone who said they were laid off yesterday and how it hurt them that it happened after the positive numbers that they helped create. That is gut crushing.
