We’re coming up on 2 months in, but not a single person from HCSC has spoken a word to us. Half of us were demoted to hourly with no explanation, we can’t get any answers from leadership because they aren’t getting any communication either. There’s no plan, we aren’t allowed to reach out to our HCSC counterparts, and we don’t have any goals to work on. Is this bizarre limbo of being completely sectioned off going to continue for the entire transition year?

Time for a shake up to distract the masses from the actual true dysfunction that is happening. It’s gotten so bad.
A target? Do tell
HCSC is foolish to think they can just adopt their current ways to their new business. Cigna brought over a lot more members in a lot more states with much more complicated benefits and awful systems. Plus an added bonus of being a target of CMS. Some management think it’s just no big deal - ha! We’ll see….
My department has been in constant communication with our Cigna counterparts, and to my understanding it's been a smooth process.
Obviously this website leans negative - it is called thelayoff.com, after all - but these anecdotes and rants are not everyone's reality.
HCSC is a big company, and about to be bigger as we compete for Aetna's ACA membership: lots of different experiences that can't possibly be captured here.
Somebody asked "What's the plan?'. Must be a new employee.
Another round of org decisions coming without asking questions, let alone being fully informed. Moving people around without even knowing what they do, based upon a title that some consultant assigned based on some criteria that should be burned. Bizarre people choose to stay here with all the disrespect.
I’ve also heard rumblings around early July for some reorgs. HCSC seems to be making decisions without really understanding what they’re getting rid of. Just along for the ride lol.
I’ve heard rumors of changes happening July 1… anyone else?
…what kind of changes?
All I can say (from the HCSC side) is that this is pretty normal even outside of an acquisition. Delays with goal-setting have happened every year I've worked here, in multiple departments. The lack of communication and 'hurry up and wait' is business as usual. Sorry it's also impacting you guys, the uncertainty su-ks, but I wouldn't be alarmed by it.

Budget cut = layoff
“We move slow so we can move fast” LMFAO.
Feel free to move fast at any time.
It’s exactly what you think it is.
