Thread regarding Highmark Health layoffs

Start being honest on Surveys

I’m honestly frustrated with commenters talking about poor management and no one is being honest with surveys. The surveys should all be low scoring because I would not recommend this company to anyone. Avoid avoid avoid!!!! Once the glint survey scores becomes low then management will be held accountable or fired. There was a thread of a commenter discussing an employee getting bullied and dealing with racial discrimination within the cybersecurity space (has since been deleted… go figure). Until we are honest, There will be no change.

@OP There will be no change if you are honest on the survey either, except that perhaps you'll be gone shortly

Ah, ISRM needing a revamp.....(ref most recent comment). I see things have not changed since I got the _____ out of there. Got su-ked into ISRM (specifically the GRC office) in 2014 and was in that god-forsaken branch until retiring in 2018. Very toxic. Although Brad C and Omar K have left, it appears it is still a h___-hole to work in. Gotta jump ship, folks. It's for your own good. Rid yourself of the stress and put some longevity back into your lives!!!

The cybersecurity space is known for that. Look at their population. Survey’s does not change anything. ISRM and Caleb Merriman need a revamp.

I agree with everyone, the surveys are a joke and are simply a way to weed out people. Each manager knows how many people responded to the surveys. They may not know who it was, but they know how many took the surveys. I have seen the reports. When there are managers with only a few employees, it’s very easy to figure out who didn’t respond. They are also able to figure out how people responded because they know their employees. The surveys are to make employees feel that their management “cares“ about them so they put out more hours and work. It’s a disgrace honestly. If the company really cared about what employees think, they would ask questions geared toward them instead of direct management. That will never happen.

Agreed- surveys are a joke! Employees are pressured and bullied into taking them. Reports are constantly ran to see who didn’t respond but they are confidential. The SVP’s, VP’s, Directors, Managers, Team Managers all constantly pressure the employees at all management levels until staff responds and lies on the survey. The leadership bs lies start with we care about how you feel. Give honest feedback - then you are viewed as a trouble maker, threat or just a person that hates their life and your job gets constantly threatened. Wonderful examples of core behaviors leadership! Master Manipulators!

Surveys are a joke even middle management thinks so even if they aren't going to tell you that. It's just corporate performative BS.

Yes, heaven forbid your manager gets a low score—then come the “corrective action” meetings, where you’re expected to talk, but not tell the truth

Surveys are a joke. If you give low scores, upper management makes your manager/supervisor schedule a meeting and come up with a corrective action plan…No one is going to do anything with it or take it seriously. And there’s no way to delineate feedback directed to upper mgmt vs. your manager/supervisor. They lump all management together.

Surveys are a joke. And we are bullied by management to give all high marks. They can shove the surveys where the sun don’t shine!!!

It’s funny that anyone would think the surveys mean anything. Has anyone seen any follow up done by upper management on parts of the survey that are poor? They talk about it at a meeting and then forget about it until the next survey. Surveys are complete joke that are used to make you feel like your “voice is heard”.

Regarding deletions, aside from C-suite mentions, the mods here aren’t allowing names or other personally identifiable info. It’s got something to do with stopping impersonations and making sure anonymity goes both ways.
