All IT people who could find better jobs elsewhere left in/ around the last reorg and the remaining either have vesting left or couldn't find jobs so why complain.. IT is better outside of CVX anyways. I am telling from experience...take this as an opportunity instead of fingerpointing others...and staying stuck in the cr&%py IT org ..

Who’s different?
Well, CE the GOM FE guy with zero IT or digital experience. KG, who only knows that cutting applications might save money. The ENGINE IT director. A TBD new CISO. A TBD new data officer.

I mean, how much new do you want?

There were a few 25s in the announcement who got the 25-26 jobs, but since they were not placed 26 roles, they will stay at 25.

If they didn't get promoted they shouldn't have been allowed to post for the role. Giving 24s the 25 roles

@bq+1jtkmdhgj Oh good lord, after the boxes are “field”? Man, we are ready for ENGINE.

Anyone have a clue where automation systems specialists sit in the new org?

He’s the implementation lead. Will PDC into something afterwards. Remember after imagineIT, DF had that BS imagineIT GM job to land the org. After the boxes are field, there’s apparently more work to do. That’s what CS swindled from Chevron

Where is CS (Agile)?

Cyber may have had 3 25s promoted. Not sure if DG had already gotten his 26 or not.

Which 25s got promoted?
Some of those jobs were CL 25-26, so they didn’t actually get promoted unless it is a placed job.

All the leaders made sure their buddies got jobs. I saw at least 3 25s on the list who got promoted too. Keep the 26+ population who only know how to kiss a-s and blow smoke and cut the PSGs who actually do and know the work. What could go wrong.

HRBP sounds like someone who doesn’t understand IT or what is being done to it. So they probably actually are an HRBP or in the agile chapter with no technical skills.

It’s gunna be a sh-tshow when we lose all of our SMEs and India can’t figure out how to even start fixing problems on their own.

Layoffs won't save Chevron.
Something else needs to change....
And that is at the TOP....

Signed HRBP. That's hilarious. If true, she doesn't understand she's getting ousted in Aug/September.

@aq+1 thanks for the example of what AI can generate when using key words like deflect and deny.

Change can be challenging—especially in areas as critical as IT, where stability, talent, and innovation are all essential to our success. We hear the concerns being raised, and they come from a place of deep experience and care for Chevron’s future. That matters.

But let’s not mistake transformation for retreat. What we’re doing now isn’t about following others—it’s about building a smarter, more connected, and more agile future. We’ve learned from past efforts, including ImagineIT, and we’re applying those lessons to move forward more deliberately, with greater focus on resilience, modern capabilities, and innovation.

Yes, some roles are changing. Yes, the path ahead will take time and commitment. But progress often begins in discomfort—and we are committed to supporting every person through the transition. For those feeling uncertainty or anxiety, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free, confidential resources to help navigate change—personally and professionally. Your well-being matters, and support is here if you need it.

We are not chasing pipe dreams. We are laying foundations—for AI, for better systems, for a Chevron that’s ready to lead well into the future. And we believe in the people who will get us there.

Let’s stay connected, support one another, and keep building what’s next—together.

What a mess...ELT doing exactly what other majors did 5 years ago...instead of trying something different...like maybe something new and innovative. IT will be a mess with the India revolving door...if they can even get the talent to begin with. IT never recovered from ImagineIT, now this...probably 40-50% of real IT going away...nothing will progress for at least a year, except maybe AI pipe dreams.

Some of the leads are Indian and are currently based out of India. Put 2 together.

The change will be easy to see when you see no jobs available in the US

This is a cost reduction effort. It’s about cutting people, not changing leaders.

What’s different is that you got some dudes from another industry that have no idea what Chevron does and they’re trying to get IT Ops done with no context. I hope that is different enough for you. That’s a f-ing drastic change
