She didn't get to where she is by making a habit of blunders, and while this sort of hubris may eventually be her undoing, the fact that she felt comfortable letting the mask slip signals that - in her estimation - such behavior doesn't damage her position in the short term.
Things here are bad. We've seen the writing on the wall for a couple years. Her behavior just confirms what we already assumed.
