Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Silver linings

As morale craters, and quiet quitting goes to new levels, I’m finding myself…enjoying it. One of my bosses is so MIA, haven’t heard from him in weeks. Another is clearly just going through the motions. I’m largely left alone, and turns out I can get far more done is less time.

Everything has ground to a halt. Meetings cancelled and projects delayed indefinitely. It is kind of a nice change. All the 26's that didn't get jobs are in full panic and licking every boot they can. No work will get done for at least 3 more months.

Mid management is either just checked out or busy networking for their jobs. Seems my managers are out for 2-3 hours during lunch time.

Why would anyone want to do any work at this time. I would be calling in sick but stay under the radar of 4 days. Your sick leave does not go with you when you get let go.
