Whatever synergies were to be gained, seemed to be lost. Communication among the current team and the acquired asset has been disappointing. Corp Strategy is bloated and corp comm seems to be waiting on direction. Can’t unwind, but can cut bait.

@bt What does this even mean?
Short answer. Yes. Big mistake. HUGE. Like buying swamps in Florida.
There won't be severance until next March/April. They're waiting for you to quit for free.
I just hope the severance packages start getting issued so we can start settling into whatever the next phase is. So much dead weight sitting around waiting for direction and a clear assigned role. Can’t be good for the whole if there are so many people just sitting around thinking “wtf is this”- sure is not a business strategy and it sure isn’t a company trying to evolve. Hopefully the “60 day plan” starts making those cuts so we can get moving one way or the other. This is just plain stupid.
Ask your question for HR here, maybe you’ll get a straight answer. Plenty of them are reading.
Is HCSC HR really as d-mb as they seem? Not a single one can give a coherent answer to the simplest question.
The Motivation is about personal greed and "friends" which you will soon find out about.
It is going to take time. The MA business is still so entangled with Cigna, those synergies aren’t possible now. We won’t be able to fully integrate until next year after we have fully divorced from Cigna.
Personally, I’m still looking forward to the future. It can’t be any worse than Cigna was the last few years. Cigna took the billions in cash they got from this deal and bought back stock and laid off thousands of workers. It will be nice to be somewhere where the stock price isn’t the primary motivation.
It's a ROYAL mess and it is all being glossed over and covered up. :)
We all kinda had a feeling this was going to be a $h!t show since we found out about this divesture. Many of us are disappointed in HCSC, but not surprised. I personally was hoping my intuition about HCSC was wrong, but I guess I was right. Many people in my department are actively job hunting, including myself.
Trump has been in office 102 days… The USA has learned a lot about the legislative branch in 43 days.
The winds on Medicare advantage reimbursement have been grim. UHC’s stock tanked. I can’t imagine we’re in a much better boat. Tough time to be expanding this book.
Agree on corporate strategy being bloated
