Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

I’m praying to get laid off while they’re still offering severance

Something tells me that won’t be the case much longer.

In Canada. Nothing matters. Nothing ever changes. Not a thing. Ever. Always the same.

Marty and Rick have not found anything in Canada (nova scotia) and likely never will.

Xerox will never succeed in Canada
You will never be protected by laws in Canada. It’s all finger in the wind politics.

Canada is Canada. Xerox is Xerox.
Both a loosing combination without a bailout from America.

At least Canada has a shot at becoming a state with Trump. I doubt Xerox will be granted any favors from the USA.
Xerox is beyond a lost cause…

Laws are not going to protect you. Because the government doesn’t care. Nothing will change.

It’s really sad when this is the best thing you can hope for after busting your a-s for this place for an extended period of time. In past few months I’ve witnessed several key staff members turn in notices. Only ones not looking to leave are new hires and the retirement bound. The only thing you have to look forward to here anymore is someone else’s workload being dropped on your desk when they’re gone.

Correct, they could pay out the bare minimum required rather than the usual "go away and don't come back at us for anything" severance

Yes, it's the law in Canada, however, they could just do what they are legally required to do which would be no where near what they're done in the past. For example 4 weeks versus 30

Severance laws in Canada amazing. It’s the best place for quiet quitting, running out the clock, mediocrity, headwinds.
