No worries, Ford will have a brand new EV to compete with other EV companies by 2028.

There’s going to be so many Cheap Electric Vehicles before our Cheap Electric (CE1) ever sees the light of day.

Nissan was always the 3rd behind Toyota and Honda... the Chrysler of Japan. They are hurting now, but they do come up with some home run products. I expect they will again. Maybe this is one of them! Japanese companies seem to treat their workers well, would be happy for them to see success for that reason alone, even tho I am a Detroit 3 booster.

A three year old Mach e would have the same problem as a three year old smart phone. Greatly diminished full battery capacity. No thank you

the issue with slate is why buy that over a 3 year old Mach E with bigger battery, carplay and 4 doors. Like I love the idea but the used market is a thing.

The Slate EV truck is so ugly. Who in their right mind would buy a new car that looks like that and has no latest technology.

This is what we need to drive around town and to work. I don't need an EV for traveling out of town. I have my hybrid SUV.

All these new small, check EVs are a joke. Limited range at the entry price point. Oh you want the bigger battery pack? The price jumps to a typical EV price.

Checked out the Slate truck. I like the idea: pick features without having to choose a "package". But same problem with it. Entry price gets you 150 miles of range. Upgrade to the much higher priced long range battery (240 miles), and then you're back into over priced EV territory.

On top of it, you know real world range will be 75-80% of advertised range. Use the heat, AC, sound system or anything else and your range drops quickly.
