SO what's the update today? For the ones who know and hear it all when is the next wave... maybe state the chosen departments! There has not been one mandate on return to work in my location so just curiosity sitting in if we are soon going to be getting a HUB in our area since they sold the building.

Let's see, what are the updates for LAYOFFS? See, I did it in all caps too. 😊
The long of the short of it is that you have no hope, you're all getting laid off as soon as the bank can figure out a way to ship all the hubs overseas, maybe sooner. That way they can be managed by those scam call centers that are already trained in lying. I mean that's US Bank's specialty isn't it, deceit?
We power potatoes!
Layoffs are gonna happen whenever. You can't really predict them unless you actually have access to a company's financials or are part of the restructuring team.
Personal experience: The fall season, just before the Holidays (September-October) timeframe. That way if you're lucky severance allows you to pay bills through the holidays.
Bonus for the company they can hire someone for 30-40% cheaper salary for X number of years.
Look if you're still with USB at this point, don't be loyal to them. You don't matter to them. It doesn't matter what your manager says, it doesn't matter what some cr-ppy CEO soundbyte says, you are replaceable.
"wE PoWer pOtEnTiAL" is a fu--ing joke.
And for those of you who've been at USB for 10+ years and think you're safe, go ahead, keep thinking that, whatever brings you the most peace of mind.
For those of you not drinking the Kool Aid: Have a Plan B, update your resume, use your PTO,and don't think USB is the peak of your career or happiness.
The hub strategy was announced well over a year ago, with all the hub locations documented on the intranet. If you don't have a hub in your area you're not getting one. The LA market is currently rolling out RTO, effective next week. This is the last market.
I think it’s safe to say layoffs are always a possibility at USB. Typically around 15th of every month.
