What departments are we thinking layoffs will apply to? I’ve been thinking pended claims since they have no work and get paid to do nothing. Also thinking some in provider services. Being union, i’m not sure if they can layoff those who are apart of the union. What do you think?

I'm fairly certain that bringing in a mediator is a standard part of the process, so I wouldn’t read too much into it. That said, I agree that most Buffalo-based jobs are at risk—except for those that are directly tied to the local market, like sales or community relations.
Rumor is NY office has brought in a mediator to handle union negotiations in Buffalo... No job is safe...union or not. Dk how true it is but contract is up end of May.
