The poor souls that remain in IT will be responsible for sorting this mess for the years to come. All the while transition mentors will be held accountable for "resources" not being trained effectively. LT needed a layer of accountability.

For the IT function, this is true. In India, they have to provide a 90 day notice before they transition from another company. So yes we have to "train" contractors and the hope is the employees will review the KT documention when they join. The probelm is many may join after the US employees are left standing or leave CVX. I also don't know who will provide work direction to them since they will be contractors. I've informed by business stakeholders that many of their requests will not be addressed until after the selection event is complete.

I've been told by the "mentors" in my PL is that most of the IT resources at engine are Accenture contractors. Some are there for only a few weeks to a few months until an employee gets hired.
So yes, looks like we are training temporary people. Sounds like the plan for engine is going well.

On LinkedIn and Workplace it looks like they are hiring people just fine. What contractors are you referring to?
